THIS REPEATER comes in a 43 lb box. Everything is pre-tuned and programmed to work for you on the frequency assigned by your co-ordinator. If you require a channel assignment call National License to have this work done.  Mount your 3.5 ft. antenna inside or outside on 1 3/8" masting, run up to 100' of RG8 cable, connect it to the repeater, plug your repeater into the wall socket and turn it on! That's it!

WHY A REPEATER? Because of the secret law of the radio universe: The distance one talks is determined by 3 things: antenna height, antenna height, and antenna height!! While a user cannot personally climb to the roof of a tall building, a repeater installed there or on a tower will do the job instead! The repeater retransmits your signal from its high vantage point. The other big use for repeaters in within larger buildings. By centrally locating a jobsite repeater the shielding from walls, shelves, and contents is reduced...minimizing dead spots in the building.
